Yes buy it. They have possibly THE best reputation for being not only beautiful but great shooting bows. Or you could order a new one and wait a year or two and drop over a grand.

The very best place to get information on Blacktail bows is to simply phone Alan at the number listed on the Blacktail website...he and Norm are busy men but they will still take the time to talk about their works of art...that is going to be the best 300 bucks you ever spent on anything...I will start the pictures off and then you add pics of yours when you get home with it

Any functional Blacktail for $300 is a steal.

Good deal but make sure you can handle 58# or it will cause you frustration.

Here is a picture of mine. They are awesome bows. Ken

Do you know if it is a footed model or one with a straight accent strip down the middle. $300.00 is probably a good deal regardless, but if it looks similar to the ones in the pics above and has no apparent damage or glaring scratches and gouges, then I would jump on it!

ok, i just got home with the blacktail bow ,give me a few ta get some pics up cuz i dont no what kind it is,,,

Yes I own 4 of them I have left the prettiest you can imagine and have had at least 8 over my time todate. They are great bows you should not have delayed. Especially if a great price you can resell for $$$. What I didn't hear is TD or 1 piece you didn't mention? I have had several of them. No matter what weights they are to me a little stiff anyways but all shoot fine and are lookers very well made bows and usally easy to resell.

Post close up picture of the serial number too.

Thanks

Serial number? Thinking it might be hot? There's a Black Widow on my local CL, it's a newer model MA and the guy wants 250$. I emailed him, he called me, I got the specs and asked for the serial number to get an idea of the yr it was made. The guy said he couldn't find it, got off the phone with me and haven't heard from him since. Anyways, post some pics of your bow when you get it.

Yes check the serial number! and call blacktail they can give you info on reading serial number!of date of bow build.

Isn't that the same poundage that Zman just got cheated out of? I think so. Is that coincidence? I think Keith (Zman) should see that bow.

From: George D. Stout Compton's Traditional Bowhunters

If that would be Keith's bow, then you need to contact that pawn shop about who left it there as it was stolen. Hope it wasn't. Or, maybe not.

Lost my Blacktail in pawn shop recently...I'm still sick over it.

Stalkers were made with Actionwood or Dymondwood not sure which but basically laminated birch made by Rutland...Technically the same bows as posted above but without all the fancy wood and craftsmanship.

You got a pretty good deal on a fine bow. I bet they didn't give the guy $50-$100 for it.

From: George D. Stout Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 01-Nov-14

They are awesome bows and the wood doesn't mean anything except you got a fine deal.
