A great bowhunter told me once..........If you aren't hunting where you know you are going to kill a deer, you need to be looking for that spot. Feel free to share your own passed on knowledge.

If I'm in 'that spot', but I'm hunting squirrels, I may need to be looking for a better one.

Enjoy the hunt, BE PATIENT, if it is your Buck, it will happen. Do not, under any circumstances push the issue, only bad things will happen.

Go where others won't or don't.

That is as good a tip as I have heard, Bo. Along that vein, I would say the best I heard was about fishing but it applies to about everything in the out of doors. "Go early and stay late" Roland Martin, I believe.

Don't get hung up on arrow velocity. Shoot a heavy arrow and hit what you are aiming at.

The most important "gadget" you could ever bring in with you is your own brain. Be an observer of what you see. Process the clues and using your cunning and intellect put yourself in a position to harvest that animal.

You can't fish where fish are not.

What if the Bear is to small you were greedy and wanted a better bear?

Bigger, not rubbed holes, all his toes? Not a sow with clubs?LOL

Stay off your cell phone and no texting while on stand and pay attention? What are you bored then you shouldn't be out there! LOL

At 65, trying to adjust to my body. The 8 mornings I hunted public land was not on weekends. The doe and buck I shot with recurve had long drags, I take a lot of breaks. Just love the outdoor. Kenny

When hunting geese, my dad, who lost an eye in a hunting accident when he was a kid, always said, when you think you're leading 'em far enough, lead 'em a little more.
