Some Li'l Bears also had no shelf instead they offered a nylon peg that could be moved for left or right handed shooting

I guess not many people have seen one of these. Bows are scarce as hen's teeth around here. My grandsons are thrilled no matter the maker.

It appears to be an old Ben Pearson Cougar. (or someones copy of) How long is it? It wasn't marketed as a longbow by the way when it was originally sold.

60 inches. Unstrung it looks like a bear ausable or sky longhorn in 3Rivers catalog but no shelf or a howard hill with reflex/ deflex. Thanks

No it's not a Hill. Was the 60" from nock to nock around the curves?
Other that the OLD Hill recurves that Howard marketed, the only reflex/deflex Hill that really was made to any degree was the Badger, and that's not a Badger.

Yes it was 62" s a matter of fact. So that one is out. And it did have a shelf. But, I've never seen a Pony without a shelf I don't think either.

Just curious, if you don't know what it is? How do you know what it is not and how it was labeled when sold? There are no holes for a peg. Very confused.

The 700 riser is laminated Cuban lemon wood. The limbs are two laminated full length tough bamboo fiber backed, modified reflex limbs. Bend back when unstrung. 1944, first year for fiber. 1945 last year for reflex. 1942 first year built when Howard Hill developed the bamboo bow. Ben Pearsons started naming bows in 1958. Shoots good.
