Prairie predator ought to be along shortly to post some.

In the mean time, ill tell you this, you wont be disappointed in the performance. We were playing with one today and shooting through the chrono with 7.9 gpp,we were getting 182pfs and 156,from 12 gpp on the low end.this was with a 35 lb at 26" bow. How ya like that.

Toby, go to the search bar above and type in "Prairie Drifter" That will get you started. Drifter owns a lot of bows made by Mike at Maddog. I've owned a couple myself in the past.

Had this one 3 weeks, basic walnut with thumb locator.

Best 269 dollars I ever spent.

60" 41 @28.

Fast and super quiet.

Get one!!

Keb,

I'm going to get a 60" based on Mikes recommendation.

Still thinking about draw weight. Somewhere in the low 40's, used for whitetail hunting

That's what mines is for, I draw 28".

Looking at the speeds of the 35@ 26 on 12pp, mine is smoking with a 10gpp axis and 2 blade.

I agree, 40-42 should be plenty and a pleasure to shoot.

They are great bows for sure. But, so is every bow he makes. I used to have one. It was very quick, quiet, and a real joy to shoot. They draw remarkable smooth so, don't be scared of draw weight on them either. Those bows define elegance and performance in a stick bow. God Bless

Is that Zircote and if so, is that one of his standard riser woods or an up charge? I really like that look. Thanks for posting.

Ziricote. Same price as the others. That was three years ago. Things might be different. I'm not sure. One thing I am certain of, is his willingness to build you what you WANT. There isn't a better, nicer bowyer anywhere. He builds a truly custom bow if that is what you request.

One thing I asked for was a wider opening in the locator recession, with a more medium grip. He nailed it. Those bow's are quite narrow at an inch or a touch under at the fades. While my hands aren't huge, I wear a size large or extra large in gloves. So keep that in mind as the more standard grip opening he seemed to build most often, was a touch to tight for the web of my hand. I also request a taller sight window on every bow I buy from him.

Just figure out what you want. Tell him. Even if you are unable to shoot one or twelve before you buy :^), He will explain the bow, and talk with you about what you want and such things like your draw length etc... Once he knows these specifics, you'll get it. Understand I like him but, I mean what I say about his abilities, the bows performance, and how pleased you'll be with this choice. And know I no longer have the bows pictured because I bought them for the sole reasons to pass them on. I have bought a lot of bows and sent them on. While I don't regret doing that with those, I sorely miss the one in those deer pics. What an awesome bow it was. God Bless
