For 2014 only. The 50's bows don't take a back seat IMHO.

Cameron and I judge the efficiency of our bows by what spine arrows tune nicely with around 200 grains up front...he simply means those bows all tune with 340 spine arrows...for me it is the 300 club since I draw quite a bit longer than he does...before you get all excited about how we are overspined remember we are talking Camroot strings on those bows which are worth about one spine range...my Kodiak Deluxe is a 500 spine bow with a B50 string and a 340 spine bow with a BCY-X beauty made by Cameron...hard to believe for a bow that I shoot at a measured 46 pounds, but the proof is in the shooting...my form is about as good as it will ever get right now...I can shoot velocities through the chronograph regularly that are within one fps without anyone checking draw length

I'm guessing you've bare shaft tuned the bows above w/ the 340? I also don't believe a string will make a bow jump up that much in spine.

Overbo so from your testing going from B50 to BCY-X what have you found to be the case...I know I was shocked assuming that bow would bareshaft a 400 spine just fine

This is the hoyt it likes the weaker shaft with the brass insert. The bama shoots either one and the bear likes the stiffer one. Both shoot well fletched out of all 3 bows. Cameron

A pic of some of my bare shafts. As far as strings go I go for quiet and nock fit.

What's the strain count difference of the 2 strings? Are you shooting the same string nock height on both strings? How far are you bare shaft tuning?

I am not comparing strings anymore I like bcyx period. The stock string is still in the bag. It was camodave doing the comparison. I make several versions of this string. This one is 24 strands 3 bundle .019 halo. For x nocks and a like. Bare shaft 13 yards. I know on my kodiak it's better against the stock d97 twanger by a lot in aluminum from 2216 to 2317. 2315 tune a tic weak and 2219's weaker than that. The string on the kodiak is 22 strand 2 bundle .021 angel. The kodiak is my quietest bow including long bows. 9/16 to 5/8 is were a tie on the nock height. 5/8" and up a bit on some long bows. I also use 20 strand 2 bundle with .024 halo for classic nocks. Gain or no gain these string are quiet. I am pretty sure bcy knows what there doing. Cameron
