I have a Bear Kodiak Magnum Grayling MI Serial #KU42472
It is missing the coin.
What year is the bow and what color Bear Coin should it have?
Where can I get a replacement coin.

KU prefix started in 1970 . It will have a brass coin from 1970-early 1972. After that it was a raised plastic "button" medalion.

How about a pic? I'm thinking you have a mid 70's bow. The 2 1976 SK's I had sported the silver domed button. They looked good to me, but I was always concerned they'd get knocked off, but it never happened. How about a pic?

What does the hole in the bow look like? Can you put a nickel (5c piece) in it? Then it would be a flat coin. A smaller diameter hole a button.
Early 70's flat coin could be brass or nickel.

If the hole in the bow has a depression in the centre then it's the plastic button as they have a short, square stub sticking out the back. A description of the bow would be helpful...mid '72 was the changeover.
