I have lost track, I know it's over 50, maybe I should get rid of a few. I thought my sons would want some and they do but I have so many and one son is a lefty and I made him a couple already.

I don't understand the question.
I did once work in a guitar repair shop with the late Blues guitarist Johnny Nitro. He had an idea for a new bumper sticker:
"If I bring home one more guitar, my wife is gonna leave me. Gosh, I'll miss her!"
(Tip: lots easier to stash more bows in a pile than guitars. I got both problems- and still married!)

I am leaving Sunday for a bow hunt in western Kentucky at my sister-in-laws farm. I was shooting this evening and at full draw one of my Black Widows,my beloved SA III had the bottom limb laminations separate with a loud crack. I am certainly glad I have others to rely on. One is definitely not enough!!!

Between 40 and 50...no new, all used...mostly 60's and 70's...enjoy trying them all and noting the differences in design and performance...recently picked up my first 50's era bows...a Root Gamemaster and two Howatt's...a Ne Plus Ultra Hunter and an Eldorado Diablo.
My reason for collecting is they don't make them any more so there are less of them around every day, the prices have always and will continue to rise so they're not a bad investment in these days of 2% interest rates, they're beautiful to look at and relaxing and rewarding to shoot.
I also like to give new shooters or wheel bow shooters the chance to try traditional so have a couple of lower cost bows like a Shakespeare Sierra or Ben Pearson Hawk on hand for someone to try out. The younger shooters at my club using compounds often comment on "beautiful" my recurves look as they have never actually seen one so next step is to invite them to shoot one.
I'll flip a few in the next couple of months and then maybe get some more.

Just haven't found it yet!
Actually, I'm in a fix. I've got two that I like and shoot well, and no funds available whatsoever for any further experimentation. Not going to trade either one unless I'm convinced that I'll end up with something I like even better...
I guess in a perfect world, I'd find the Perfect Bow and have a matched set in #45 and #65... with a #55 as a back-up.

I agree with firekeeper. One really good shooter, but I have a few more. Still go back to my first bow I bought coming back to traditional archery. Has sentimental value and it could be "the bow" 'cause it took a while to be able to afford it.

Ahhhh, guitars. I have a dozen or so... electrics, acoustics, and a tricone resonator. My wife is super cool about my music stuff... she has encouraged me to buy guitars on more than one occasion.
I recently moved and my music room and archery room will be combined at this house... I still havent set it up because I'm not sure how to go about it yet. When I figure it out, and get it done, it'll be cool, it'll reveal me... and I'll post a few pics.

Two wall hangers and one TradTech Titan riser with three sets of limbs.
If the TT is considered three bows then I own five but only shoot three.
If it's one bow with three sets of limbs, then I own three bows but only shoot one.
I want another TT ILF riser soon and when I get it I'll then have eight bows ,or only four depending on how you look at it.
Then if I buy more limbs which could happen, I'll have even more bows but really only four still,,,,depending on how you look at it.
Jack.

I'm holding at 3 right now. One for early season that's a little harder to draw but I like the grip. One for late season that's easier to draw and I shoot best but grip is kinda slippery..so gloves work better with it. One for healing..lightest draw.

I have about two dozen and all but one or two are shooters. Of those, there are six or seven that I would keep if I began selling them off.
I probably will begin doing that -- selling them off -- here in a year or two.
I wont be around forever and while the son would like two or three of them, he is not into collecting them.
Got way too many arrow shafts, too.
You know the drill...
But I don't think a guy can have too many if he enjoys collecting them.

I'm a high school wood shop teacher and I teach kids how to make bows, os of course I have to make a demonstration model for myself, then one for the UBP Banquet auction and then usually one for a friend or one of my sons so I end up making two or thee a year, I've been teaching for 36 years, you do the math. That doesn't count the bows I bought over the years os I lost count, oh yea there's a bunch of self bows too.
