Hello First Shooters. I've been busy this past week with house remodeling and hunting this past weekend. Got deer close but no "first shot" :-(

Today's FS as called from a kneeling position. Shooting my recently completed eastern woodland style hickory bow...."Two Crow". Shoots surprisingly well for a primitive bow. 65 1/2" ntn and is 48# @ 30"......bend through the handle which is 1 9/16" wide and tapers to 5/8" at the nocks. Trimmed with crow feathers and chipmunk fur harvested with my bow. Shooting Sitka spruce arrows today.

Cheers and blessings all.

53, cloudy with a breeze. I sat down crosslegged, bow on the ground next to me as if I were taking a break in the deer woods. Buck came in and I had to cant almost horizontal and missed high and left. Subsequent shots came into line quickly,but I have to practice that one. Thanks for the call CD. Best to all.

As called both knees down and sitting on heels. Stinky release... fast, sloppy, and careless. No excuses. Wish all you folks are getting the kind of weather we have here today. Enough to give a guy spring fever in October.

Woodsman tipped 2018 that's about the same color as the maples are right now, and the beat up'69 Super that we took a chance on.

Have a good one FIRST SHOOTERS;

Bill

Like Flash, my 16 yard FS was shot sitting on a 5 gal bucket.

Really like your hand made LB Drew and it looks like it is shooting well! Good job!

Good luck HBK with that nice looking buck. I hope you get a chance at him. You have been nailing your FSs so we have great confidence in you! :-)

I agree Fred…rain go away!!!

Went hunting this morning, then came home and took a nap before game 1 for the Royals tonight. Saw 7 deer in the woods around the stand, but the only two possible shots were small bucks that didn't meet minimum of 4 points on one side. The fat, nice 6 pointer walked right under my stand, but try as hard as I might, there was not a 4th point. Oh well, next year for him.

Shot taken sitting flat on my behind, back against a large Maple. Mike Sullivan "Shadow" and a 2213 with a Zwickey Delta. Very smooth for a 58" 54# bow. Handles odd angles well.

Thanks for the call CD. Great day to all.
