Build your own it's easy and fun . No need to get complicated and basic fletching , stains and sealers are all that is needed in addition to a taper tool ans saw .

Ryan, I have used them and also Kustom King's offering as well. I had very good luck with them. They were relatively close in weight and the spine was within five pounds. The last I bought were the fletch-ready shafts..already dipped and crested. I don't know that they are all as good as I got, but mine were better than average for sure. If you want to compete in field archery or other target archery then you may opt to get shafts/arrows that are matched more closely in weight and spine. Otherwise, I wouldn't hesitate to try them.

I'd like to start building my own again, and plan on it after hunting season. I'm just in need of something to get me through until January.

Any specific shafts that you guys would suggest?

I build my own but two years ago I bought a six pack from Cabelas bargin cave for a reduce price. Boy, they shot just great!

Douglas Fir shafts are very durable and make a fine arrow. Even though they don't list them in their catalog, The Nocking Point carries doug fir shafts and they are here in Oklahoma and charge actual shipping costs. Good honest people to deal with. I think they are a sponsor here or just search for nocking point archery supplies.

I don't know who made the wood arrows for Cabela's but they were exceptional. I don't see them in there catalog anymore. I would call the Nocking Point.
