which glue is best for putting on overlays- blue cap, green cap or 2 part epoxy?

Blue cap (if you can find it) with "rubberized particles" the green top doesn't have it.

We'll I've used both,super glue and smooth-on. I trust epoxy longer. IMO. Jeff F

I use super glue from Wal-mart. The black tubes 4 for $1.57. Have not had one ever come off. One tube will almost always do a bow,so it figures to be pretty cheap.

I don't think it was superglue fault,think it was angle and depth of groove into a layered overlay and choice of wood that was the problem. The thicker the super glue the better I feel. One is quicker than the other. I sand my glass or phenolic with 80grt, wood fiftyish grit.wet mating surfaces even. Jeff F

Be careful to clamp lightly so you don't squeeze all of the epoxy from the glue joint.
