I have some 2219 Legacy arrows at 30.5". I would like to tune them for my KMag at 28" draw with a calf hair rest and plate. Anyone shooting a similar setup? How much weight are you using up front. Thanks.

I use 200 on a 28" 2219 arrow 61# at my draw. Kodiak with performance string. One of many combinations. Cameron

Based on my experience attempting to shoot 2117s out of a #55 @ 28” Howatt Hunter drawn to about 26”-26.5”… I think I’d leave them full length and screw on a good-sized brick.
But according to Stu’s calculator, you should be about right going 30.5” with about 165 grains up front (including the insert), assuming FF 12-strand. Looks like you’d need to add about 20 grains to the nose for B-50.

I shoot 2219's out of 62lbs and at 32" long with 160 up front. I doubt you'll be able to tune em to that setup without adding a lot of weight up front unless that bows cut past center which I don't think it is.

My 55# K Mag shot a 2016 with 145 up front just great....as stated above, the 2219 should fly well with a brick tied up front, maybe a brick and a half.

I shoot 2219's out of a 63lb recurve drawn to 28in. I have 260gr up front on an arrow thats 29". I think your beating a dead horse, but you can try. I think 2117's would be your best bet. I shoot those out of my 56lb Mohawk Longbow drawn to 28".

SB times 2. I had a 65# KMAG, I modified to an 1/8th past center. I drew it a full 28 inches and had an sbd string on it. It took 200 upfront to tune the 2219's. You'll never tune that arrow to that bow. Get a .400 spined shaft, 1 inch trim with 125 or 145 upfront. You could possibly get into the .365 with 200 upfront if you got a real good string. God Bless

With enough weight up front you might get them to fly somewhat straight. But not very far. - lbg

I shot 2219's out of my 62# Robertson Recurve. Used 145 gr. Bear stainless Razorheads, arrows cut to 29 1/2 in.

I get 2117s to fly well out of my 55-pound Schafer drawn to 28 inches. The shafts are cut anywhere from 28 to 30 and have various tips on them...I began trying to tune the arrows to the bow but never followed through. I was just shooting them this afternoon and was surpised at how well they fly. I think the heaviest tip I have on is 160 grain glue on field tip.
