I dont have a scale. Can you estimate total grain weight of an arrow? 23/64 POC spined 75/80,30 inches BOP, old greenie Bear Razorhead, 3 5.5 inch feathers and a plastic Mercury nock. What do you figure?

Nope - If I just grab a number 650 grains

12" ruler writing pen balance the ruler on the writing pen at the 6" mark place arrow on the 0" mark and start placing coins over the 12" mark. Here's a website with modern coin weights!

Cedar? More likely about 540 grains or even lighter. Remember that Bear greenie is only about 112 to 115 grains. I have some 65/70 23/64...5" feathers and Mercury nocks that are 28" and weigh 510 grains with the Bear head.

weighted one of my old shafts, 23/64, 28&1/2, 125 grn head, total weight is 552 grains, 5" feathers on it also, no finish on the shaft.

525+ or - , a few grains

Oh by the way the shaft I weighted spined out 85-90, the grain density is probably close to yours, yours should be right around 572 grns, that is counting the extra 1&1/2" of your shaft and the 10 grns less for your broadhead.

Im with George: 29.5 inche 23/64s POC with 5 inch fletch, several coats of sealer, plastic knock...you know, the whole deal runs right at 570 grains.

Go to Wally World and buy a food scale. I have seen them a little over 10 bucks up to 30 bucks.....also look at the Good Will stores.

Depends on whether your underwear is on the inside or the outside of your Tights.

I have had cedar shafts vary as much as 100 grains.

Over the last 35 years my finished 11/32" cedar arrows 55-60# with 125gr head 3 5" feathers and 29" come in around 540-560gr. A 23/64 could be a tad heavier. A heavier spine could also be heavier.

As raghorn says, we can't say within up to 100 grains. - lbg
