After the conclusion of the shoot this weekend, would love to see a plethora of "shoot pics" from those who had the good fortune to attend!!

Looks like a light turn out. Any vendors, how many shooters?? Please keep 'em coming, Leatherwallers!! So far, so good.... Shoot Straight, rare breed

It was pretty light. But a pretty good turn out concsidering there was little to no publicity.

The word is being passed that tha Western States shoot will be held there this comming Memorial Day Weekend

What a hoot! Here's me and Boomer Mike congratulating ourselves on some great 60yd shots we made.......

Right before the 10 year old kid came by aand said we shot the wrong target; ours was supposed to be 200 yards away, up the OTHER hill!

Waaaay up at the top right of this foto is the cariboo standing alone in the field, just below the oak tree. Those guys are shooting at it from the stake, it is a 'par 2' shot at about 130 yards or so.

That is where we were supposed to shoot!

And here's Mike lining up on one of Marilyns' famous 'Critter-inna-Ditch' shots. Not easy to make, as the critter is in the deep shadows and will be dark, like a bear or racoon, and sometimes not all of it will be visible, so you either hunker down to shoot under tree limbs, or you just skim the arrow over the bank and down in the ditch to make the shot. Very challinging to estimate the range; most folks like me, shoot high because the shadows make us think the critter is farther away than it really is. 8^/

This was a great shoot, had a good talk with Allen Boice of Liberty Longbows, his bows are great looking, and shoot fast, too.

Didn't see Wapiti or many other big vendors, but there were many smaller tables set up around the other side, selling leather quivers, bracers, PVC Mongol-type bows, atlatls, and staves for the self-bow folks. I didn't see the usual t-shirt vendors, or the big archery tackle vendors either, Traxx.

No Dave n Nancy of archery past?

Even without all the vendors,it would still be my favorite shoot.

One year,at that long caribou shot,we couldnt find Rick Tatums arrow with the rest of ours.I finally found it on the other side of that hill, with the tree.It didnt skip over there either. He overshot the long range Elk too.

We had over 150 shooters pre-registered. I'm not sure of the number that registered at the shoot. There seemed to be a larger group that came each morning and didn't camp. Missed see Traxx and the Stickbow kept looking for you guys. Hope everyone hade fun.
