Do you have any good woodsman stories. Kinda the opposite of the hunters of old thread.

From: Will tell

It's not.that us ole timers don't have woodsy stories its that we forgot most of them.lol

Ya mean like how I was 12 years old before I learned you didn't hunt deer with a spot light?

From: Cuzen Jeff

Here ya'll wants to her a story? Welp take care of your butt when your younger or you aren't going to be superman when your older. You will spend a lot of time covering your butt. Worse yet you'll have only yourself to thank for that too.LOL

But its not funny.

They told us the man with the most toys in the end wins.Thats not true either the man with the best health wins.If you don't have good health everything else is a patch and can blow out at any time.

Take care of your yute and your family.

Do not participate in foolish activities that can later effect the use of your legs neck or back. It's not worth the risk. It's more important to still be able to participate in the shooting and hunting sports when your post 60.

Amen to the above posts.7

Once you get old enough to see that 20 years is not a long time----20 years is about all you have left.

Never bet on a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Don't be a braggard...most are full of BS anyway. Air is not lumpy.

never "retire". thats a quick ticket to the grave. always be too busy to get sick or die. i will be 80 in november and just got home from a 6 hour day of hard work and now am going out to change 1/2 mile of 40" hand lines, then saddle a horse and go to the hills until after dark and pck up any cattle on the roads.

I was told when I was younger by my dad. Do everything you would like to do and don't put things off. One day your health might not let you do it latter.

"One ice tea years ago and I could pee over a dump truck; now with a gallon I can't clear the toes of my boots!"

There's a pill for that too, and an out patient operation. You'll be peeing like a 20 year old after getting it.
