Browning wasp 47@28 but I draw it to 29. Suggested aluminim and carbon arrows shooting a 145 grain hunting head? Thanks, Craig

Wasps had almost centershot cut on the sight window/shelf so almost any spine will shoot pretty well. 2213,35/55, or 45-50 wood will work. I have refinished many (25-30) of these bows and have shot many types of shafts when tuning them for a new B-50 string. They are VERY tolerant of spine. These bows were hand made and can slightly vary in centershot distance so there may be an occasion where someone may disagree with my recommendation but in most cases it is true. In your case the arrows are probably cut to 30" (with your 29" draw length)which adds a more sensitive variable. In that case you can select a heavier spine to see the effect of increased arrow length, complemented by your heavier (145g) broadhead resulting in a weaker shaft. You should be using Dacron with this bow. If you are using FF then you will need even heavier spine (close to centershot or not) because of FF's effect on the cast. Ray (some refinished Wings)

You can use any string material you like, including low stretch modern strings....just use padded loops.

The Wasp is cut center, which means your arrow will still be its diameter off center. At a 30" arrow you would probably need a 2016 using B-50, or 2018/2114 with low stretch strings. I use low stretch on all my old bows. With carbon a .500 spine with 145 grain tips and 30" length.

I have a Browning Wasp take-down, it is a very cheap made bow but really shoots good with 2114 shafts. This bow was bought from Bowhunter's Wharehouse in the early 80's for $125.

I have seen here and elsewhere people report many Wasp's had a shelf cut past center?
