Heading to Newfoundland next week for a moose hunt and I've been trying to find out if lighted nocks are legal in Canada.Searched the web and reached out to the outfitter but can't get a clear answer.Thought it would be cool to have one in the quiver for a low light shot on video.Does anyone know or have a link to the game laws? Just call 709-637-2025...I tried a search of the website on the subject and nothing came up so my guess would be it is not even addressed...if it is not prohibited then it is okay...even if it was prohibited I doubt any game officer would bother you about it since they are kind of overrun with moose on the Rock and happy to do just about anything to reduce the population...you might want to think carefully about taking a low light shot on a moose late in the day...a guide I work with followed a moose hit in the throat with a bullet for about 2 miles before it bled out...those big suckers have a lot of blood and long legs and hit even slightly poorly they can be a long way away by morning

Our sports stores sell them here in Ontario. I've used them for years. Just call the provinces Ministry of Natural Resources or go online.

There is no such rule in Canada. My search extended to my buddy who is a Game Warden and also teaches the Ontario Archery Hunting course. Your not putting a flash light beam on a deer.

Thanks for the info. Camodave not really planning a low light shot but we're shooting video for the Gettin Stickbow Close DVD's and just thought a bright green lighted nock following bright yellow feathers and wrap would look pretty cool zipping through the dark hair of a big Moose!
