My dad gave me a big target stabilizer and dozen matching arrows back after the LA Olympics. Found them the other day and thought they'd be neat to share.

Mostly NOT traditional but don't they shoot only recurves in Olympics?

Yes... Recurves with fingers at 70 meters.

Used to have a bunch of those old Olympic arrows in the 1816 size. Made up for the grandkids to use.

What isn't traditional?

They're about as high tech as a recurve can possibly be, for now. I love watching the pure focus the Archery Olympians have. On my best day I couldn't do it.

muddy -

In the 1980's (and before) aluminum arrows ruled, and X7s were the top of the line - still are. Those were marketing items sold by Easton to commemorate the games.

Viper out.

They were used in the 1960's and even earlier...they are as traditional as anything else in the sport. Some of you guys can make up your own "trad" definitions, but it doesn't make them right.

They are, and always will be, traditional target/field equipment.
