Lets post any ground harvest pic and short story on this thread.

Any species, as long as its shot from the ground.

Inspiration for those ground pounders that havent taken any game from eye level. Im hoping this year I can seal the deal.

My 10 year old Madeline with a fat porcupine she shot this evening. She uses the quills to make beautiful earrings and necklaces that she sells to the tourists. Good job sweetie.

Trapper Mike, That is one sweet rig! Had a 89 with 225,000 miles on it, all hard Alaska miles, And almost cried when I had to get rid of it! Just keep adding oil and change the filter once in a while and your good to go!

Well, back from caribou camp, sore to the bone and with mixed results. I went with the idea of trying for a really big one as the days of chasing these mavericks all over the tundra are certainly numbered. Well the weather up here is not cooperating to move the big boys out of the high places so the trophy hunt soon became a meat hunt. That is why I'm so sore. Spent as much time packing as hunting. Not in itself a bad thing but at 63 the bou seem larger than they used to be. Funny how that works. Didn't take but a few pics until I got home so here goes.

Here is the result of all the being sore. 6 days of packing with a little hunting in between

My first bow kill but I can't post pic from my phone.

After working in my bathroom with a friend of mine. I grabbed my bow - he shoots a compound bow and was curious about my bows. He wouldn't shoot it but seemed to enjoy watching me shoot.

About 5 minutes after he left, I happened to see a fox squirrel out back. I put the sneak on him, keeping an oak tree between him and me. I got within about 15 yards and waited for him to come out one side or the other.

He came out and I waited for him to turn away from me and I let him have it. Quartering away and I got a complete pass through (my attempt at humor).

I had been using judo points, however, tonight I was practicing with one of the broadheads I got from Jeff Durnell in this month's Swap and Trade and didn't have a judo point along.
