Today's shot will be the ‘Vertical Obstruction’ shot at 17 yards from a standing position. Add obstructions in-front of and behind the kill zone to leave only about a 6" shooting window to shoot through. You can use something soft for the obstructions if you fear damaging an arrow. This simulates having to shoot between some trees when some of your quarry is obscured.
God Bless,
CD

Welcome to "First Shot" David. Very nice shot as well. Join in every day or as often as you can.
Shot as called, Mike Sullivan "Shadow" and a 2213 with a Zwickey Delta. Height was fine, and about an inch right of center. Was abou a half inch away from getting to dig a Delta out of a green log. The tendency is to focus on what you want to miss, the idea is to focus only on what you want to hit. I must have glanced at that log right as I shot. That's why we practice!
Thanks for the call CD. Great day to all.

Good Morning: 72 and muggy at 0950. Looks like you and I both went a touch high today Bill. Shot as called with Toelke and 3555. It's so humid here that the pictures were all blurry from lens condensation. Didn't notice it until I downloaded them.

Fred

Good lesson here...I only got into the left hand "tree" by about a half inch...I heard the arrow hit the target and then found it on the ground in front of the target...those hard plastic legs do not fare well with broadheads as you may be able to tell from the duct tape holding the front one together but I was shooting a field point because I have yet to determine what broadhead to use with these arrows (do not have a lot of 125 grain broadheads I like)...back in my compound days I learned from shooting arrows past and through gaps in trees at 3D shoots that the only good arrow is one flying perfectly straight...a tree will grab even a slightly wobbly arrow...thanks for the call on this one CD...brought back a lot of good memories and reminded me that although I am almost ready to hunt I am not yet quite there...I will only hunt when I am at my best as an archer

Hello all, this weekend we had our Nebraska Traditional Archers rendezvous and I was the lucky recipient of the 2014 dream raffle. My first draw got me 2 bows, dozen arrows, quiver and a beautiful custom knife. So today I took one shot with each of the bows I won! Prayers for those in need and thanks for the call CD. Dave
P.S. Don't tell the wife how many tickets I bought ;)

Thanks for the call CD. At this point in my archery experience, I would need to wait for a larger window of opportunity. It was a good test, though. Shot '66a tigercat that my friend Gary Rollins gave to me. God Bless
