I had a request to show how I anchor and shoot while wearing glasses so I'll post a photo or two. I never thought about it as it came natural to me. The string comes back into my face in front of my dominant eye.

Finally i can put a face with the name. I too wear glasses, if I have wax on my glass after the shoot I over drew. Very solid I expected nothing less. i don't used caps or pun thats for you george thx for all the help that goes to everybody trap kiss

So you just don't let the string pass your glasses? Going to have to try that. I have a problem with my glasses fogging up when wearing a facemask.

I only NEED my glasses for reading so I've just kept them off when hunting.

The is no need to have the string go past your glasses. That would be odd to draw that way. I pull straight into my anchor. The shortest route between two points is a straight line. Quick and effective for me.

justsomedude. your are going to laugh but smear shaving cream on your glasses let it dry for a couple min. buff clean. I do this to my welding hood in winter. try breathing to fog your glass before you do this then try to fog them after. you should see a big difference.

Simonize glass cleaner, never fogs, and keeps dirt off, dont know where she got it,but my daughter got me some last year

Dude....if I just needed them for reading I would also keep them off. I'm near sighted so I have to wear them to hunt.

Thanks George, this is gonna take some time to get used to. The biggest problem I am having now is I am consistently shooting way high. My glasses are +.75 Got any suggestions on how to remedy this?

Same as George when I shoot with my glasses.

Stix, I wear glasses and am left eye dominant but shoot right handed. Consequently, I use a more open stance and square my head to the target, anchoring with the joint of my thumb behind my jaw. This pulls the string alongside the right temple of my glasses.

I also wear a ball cap which helps keep the string from striking my glasses when I release since I draw the string to the side of the bill.

George are those trifocal glasses? I cannot shoot with my glasses on, so I use contacts. With glasses all I get is a bleary mess. Jim :)

No-line bifocals.

ALWAYS avoid having the string get past your lenses… There are few things quite as bad for a pair of specs as getting ripped off of your face by a passing bowstring. Titanium frames can pay for themselves very quickly if you’re prone to doing this…. Helpful hint: if you don’t see them hit the ground, start searching BEHIND you. Like maybe 10 feet away at about 8 o’clock. Just sayin’….

Personally, contacts are preferable for me, but I do the vast majority of my shooting with regular glasses.

I'm VERY glad I had Lasik surgery so that I don't have to deal with that type of problem.

I draw a good bit past my glasses, but with the amount of Cant I use, it isn't a problem. I still shoot without my glasses but I know I won't have to adjust my anchor if I decide I need them.

That said, I shoot high with my glasses on. If I shoot enough I adjust eventually.

Trifocals here and some days I shoot without them. I was getting my frame somehow and got a double image. Easier not to have them on I second the shavin cream as anti fogging method
