Does anyone own and shoot this bow? I would appreciate an evaluation. Thank you.

I have it's cousin, a Chek-Mate Hunter III...very nice bow to shoot...I love all yew limbs which Marc the bowyer for both often used...just wish he was still making them for general sale...I will take some pics of mine tomorrow...it is actually the first Hunter III that Marc created...gorgeous bow...I love the look of the recessed limbs...makes a three piece takedown look a lot like a one piece

I seem to have taken on the unenviable role of interpreting Marc Moriez to the world these days and I understand that really puts me in a position of potentially looking incredibly naive and foolish (like the time I posted that Jack Kempf was no longer making bows)...I have never met Marc and only really know his work through a friend who knows/knew Marc well...when you look at his bows it is clear that Marc is a creative genious...and like many creative people that makes him a bit other worldly...without going into long explanations that would only make me look silly in the long run Cascade and Chek-Mate bows are no longer available to the average buyer...there are a lot of them out there on the used market so if you find a deal on one you want grab it...I bought mine from the friend mentioned earlier and would have to say it is about as good a deal as I would ever get on a new bow...as far as the Night Hawk line went there appears to have been a Magnum version of 48 and 52 inches and then a standard version in 56 to 62 inch length...two things I can say without a doubt are that the quality would be very high and the materials would be first rate...take a look at my bow and tell me the last time you bought a brand new takedown bow that looks like that, and shoots as good as it looks, for 600 CAD

I bought this one a couple years ago, my "go to" bow for hunting! I really like the mass weight and they always seem to feel lighter than the marked draw weight.

Camodave, Is Cascade Archery no longer in business? Thank you.

Steve Gorr of Pure Bowhunting/Cascade Archery was just one of the many people left in a state of shock when Marc discontinued contact...my understanding is that Steve has looked for a replacement bowyer without success and has made the decision to simply discontinue that side of his operation...you could check out his website and maybe give him a call, just do not fall in love with any of those great Cascade bows pictured...people tend not to sell them

I presume Steve is still in business . . . still has a website up:

The ChekMates are great bows. I had two 62" TD Hunters with bubinga risers and yew limbs... also had an older 70" yew Golden Hawk LB and their 52" TD recurve.

Update: I received information from another site that Cascade Archery is no longer selling bows. A real lose to the traditional archery community.
