I've thought for sometime that Zwickey should offer a 160 or 190 gr. version of the Eskimo. Instead they give us the Cliff and the No Mercy which imo are no better then the Eskimo and cost more.
The Cliff Zwickey may not be legal is some areas due to the blade design. If it is legal where you hunt, it will do the job.

I do not like the shape of blade which may be called "barbed". If, by chance , you wound an animal (deer), It will not fall out or be pulled out by the animal. One thing the general public (and neither do us hunters) does not like to see is a deer running around with an arrow sticking in it. Skeet

Old argument on barbed heads is that the animal can't pull them out. The argument for barbed heads is that if the broadhead goes through the animal and it is not a complete pass through, it will hang on brush and the arrow will be pulled out pretty quickly and helps on the blood trail. This has been my experience. If it wasn't a lethal hit, this should be a plus. Unless you're using really light weight bows and light arrows, the only time the broadhead doesn't get through the animal is when you hit major bones and it probably can't be pulled out anyway. I like the Cliff Zwickey broadhead.

Any barbed head should be sharpened on the barbed side as well the won't stay in the animal for very long and cut more tissue! I think it is totally a perception issue than a functional issue any way! Jacques

I see no reason to go to them. I think they look like crap in my opinion. Try the Delta's or go to Ace, Eclipse, several others are better choices.

Where are all these deer running around with arrows in them! I hear this crap all the time.. especially from gun hunters and antis. I've spent nearly 60 yrs. in the woods persuing game....I've never seen it!! I do find plenty of dead deer and cripples though after shotgun season.

I like the looks of them and trust Zwickey, but they are not legal for use in NY. Doesn't matter why or what I think.
Have been using Stos with great success and satisfaction but am trying a three blade this year (Mowoc Dots) out of curiosity to see .

Well SB, I shot a 6 point buck 4 yrs ago (with my Lever 44 mag though) that had an arrow through one side scapula and not into the rib cage. I couldn't even pull the arrow out with both hands. It was a carbon arrow with a Rage expandable broadhead with the blades stuck open. So that's the only one I've ever seen.
