Mike what is bow weight and your draw length and arrow length you desirer usually one inch longer then your true draw length if your not sure of your draw length have someone mark the arrow in front of riser when you come to full draw and anchor point then measure from nock grove to mark. then we can help.

I don't have the excel program. And Three Rivers does not offer the Kodiak Special to choose from. Thanks Mike

I'm not sure how far from center those old Bear bows are cut but I don't believe they are close to center.I think 2216 will be extremely stiff out of a bow like that.If you could measure the degree of center cut, someone may be able to run it through the calculator.Barring that you will have to do some trial and error tuning, which should be done, even after using the calculators.Personally,I would start with a 2016 and go from there.

Dont forget he is using a 200 grain tip and 29 1/2" I shoot 2016 out of my 50# bow 28" with 125gr it would be way under spin with 200gr.

Kodiak special is cut to center.

Yep I checked the Bear bow site identifier. The Kodiak Special is cut to center. Thanks Mike

It'll be a close call between a 2216 or a 2117. Going to depend on your release. DANNY

Sorry,I do see now that Bear described it as being center shot. That does make a difference.Very cool bow.I'd love to know what arrow you end up with.

Jim, It's in real nice shape. All decals are intact no stress. It's a beauty for a 55 Kodiak Special. Thanks Mike

Tried a 2216 bare shaft from 10 yds. Spot on. Moved back to 15-17 yds and was all over the place. Thanks Mike

On the 3-rivers calculator enter"generic recurve " . You have to do that for most bows anyway as they arn't all listed. Works great if all the other info is entered correctly! I use it for all the old Bears and everything comes out perfect!
