Just got one on loan from a dear friend. It is [email protected] and 62" older model grey ark. Are these cut past center? I use 145 grain hunting points and draw 29.75, suggested arrows for whitetails? Anyone have one of these, what is your set up? Thanks, Craig

I'm with Doug on this one.

The MA is cut 3/16 past center. You may want to bareshaft the 2016, I think at your draw length and tip weight you will need a 2018 or a 2020 at your 29.75 inch draw length.

3/16 past center means your arrow will still be 1/4" off of center. I would think a 2114 would work nicely also...about the same weight as the 2016 but stiffer. I don't think they make 2020 anymore. A 2018 would probably work also.

Thoughts on Gold Tip 3556 with 50 grain inert and 145 grain point?

Yes George the 2020 is still available.

2117 shot real nice out of mine with 125 gr head.

Hi Elbow: I guess I'll put my oar in the water.

I have a 1992 MAIII with 62" limbs. They read out at #53@27. My draw length is shorter at 26" on the button, so I'm getting #50 out of it now. It shoots a 2117 with 5 Inch 3 fletch cut at 28 and 3/8ths and 175 gr up front right down the middle with a glove and split fingers.

I have been using this arrow with it since 1992. With your longer draw length that arrow cut at 30 and 1/2 BOP is likely going to be a little soft.

I would recommend that you get some single shafts 2020, 2117 and 2216 and bare shaft test them from full length, cutting then back 1/4" at a time until you get one that flies straight at 10 paces with the same weight up front as you intend to shoot hunting, including the insert and adapter weight, if you use an adapter with your broadhead.

Hope this helps some, Fred

They do still offer 2020's, but I think a 2018 will work.
