I've got an old Martin Cougar Compound bow that I would like to convert to a recurve. I saw one that had been converted many years ago but didn't ask any questions about it.
Can anyone give me an information concerning putting Martin Take-Down limbs on the Martin Cougar Compound?
Thanks Chris

the take off angle on the cougar are not good for most recurve limbs. we made a reverse wedge when tery martin wanted limbs for them. makes an awkward set-up.

I was hoping it was as simple as bolting recurve limbs on it. Should have known better than that..
Back in the day, the Cougar Mag was a good bow. I bought this one for my Wife many moons ago.
I was just curious about converting it to a recurve and what I'd have to do..

Can you put a picture up?....From what I can remember the Cougar was a reflexed riser, and if it is those are a no-no for WARF project.

The newer ones had a reflexed riser. I think I bought this new in the early-mid 80"s. It was before they came out with cams and it has a straight riser.
