I have a new Bear Takedown that I am having problems keeping the upper latch screws from working loose and falling out. I have shot this bow only 3 days now and have lost 2 upper latch screws. Fortunately, I had an old latch I could replace the lost original screws with. If I tighten the latch screws real tight, the latch can hardly be opened at all. Has anyone else had this problem and did you find a solution? Thanks, -Azdriheat-

Can you say Locktite?

You should be able to tighten those down tight and the latch is still loose. They have... Or DID have a shoulder on them . I assume this is a new bow ? Something sounds fishy to me! Screwed up threads....wrong type screw? Havn't had any loose screw issues with mine since it was new in 1983!

I suggest you take them apart and clean any rust or corrosion on the pivot point.
