Welcome from Chesterton, IN. I also went to IU. Graduated in 1974 (40 yrs ago!) There's some nice terrain to hunt around that area. Around Monroe Reservoir and Hoosier Nat Forest south of Brown Co. state park. And private farmland. Of course, you won't have much time to hunt while in school. And that is a nice picture. It looks like you are from southern Indiana.

It's great how welcoming all of you are!
I am shooting a Great Northern Field Bow. I use to shoot a recurve until last year when I bought this beauty!
ephphatha: you asked about getting your daughter involved. Well, she is 15 and she is going to act it. I wouldn't say give up, but be careful not to push it on her. My advice would be to be patient with her. It's hard to have an interest in something if you're just shooting in your backyard too. Take her to one of the rendezvous with you. While you guys are there, she'll be able to see it's not just about shooting stuff, it's a way of life. She'll meet people, explore the vendors, and realize the community that comes with traditional archery is one you don't find often. If she doesn't take an interest, maybe she will one day. Always give her the option to join you and hopefully one day she will! I've been shooting for as long as I remember so it's a little bit of a different scenario, but I hope that helps you! Let me know how it goes! :)
