Hello all. I was wondering if anyone out there knew where to buy stabilizer bushings that thread into the riser. I'm not sure if I trust epoxy and a tight fit against a 20# plus fish. Any other ideas? Thanks tripv.

You will have no issue with super glue and a press fit insert. Holds up to everything. Its the same type used in every bow that I know of.

I've used the glue/press in type from Binghams on a number of bows. Haven't had one come out yet.

Thanks for the input guys. Any particular type of epoxy recommended? I've been using gorilla two part on riser inserts without issue but I don't want to have one.

That epoxy will be perfectly fine for that job. In my experience Gorilla brand glues are above average at least. Shock resistant Gorilla brand super glue works great too, but you may want more set time. I switched to the AMS retriever reel which uses the martin style double riser inserts in the opposite of the sight window. The ones I got from 3Rivers are self locking and with a little glue become rock solid.

I use Bingham's and the MT-13 epoxy from smooth-on made specifically for metal to wood.

Are you planning on using a reel seat on it or just a spool?

MT-13 epoxy works great for the stabilizer inserts, both bingham's and 3Rivers have them. Bingham's are brass and 3Rivers are black steel. I've used both so its just a preference on your part. I've never had one come out and I use them all the time.
