I need to get a backup string for my Saluki.
Who makes these with the longer loops. The fit is critical both for noise and performance.
Does Rick Barbee make them with the padded loops for these?
It's a 52 inch Damascus with a current 49.5 inch string @ 6 inch brace height, and 4.5 inch loops

Rick Barbee has made two Saluki strings for me in the past. Very good, too. Flemish twist all the way, padded loops. Of course you must send him all the measurement details- loop lengths, center pt. of string for the serving. He will tell you all he needs from you.
Also, of course, Lukas Novotny makes his own very good endless strings. He made me a replacement string for my own Damascus earlier this year. PM me if you need his info.
Nice bow, that Damascus, isn't it?

Thanks Dan, Yes, my third Saluki, and I'm shooting this one the best.
Had the Ibex, ghenghis and now the Damascus. Of course, I shoot better now than when I had the two others!LOL
PM me Lucus's email and I will see if he has time to make an extra string for me. Thanks, Randall

Lukas doesn't recommend a flemish string for his hybrid bows. He told me, to get the most from his bows, the endless, or continuous loop string was his choice.

Are the original strings FF or dacron?

On the Salukis I owned, Lukas was using D97. He was experimenting with other FF at that time as well(2002).
