I am currently shooting three under with a glove. At times on my release I feel the string hang or grab on my lower finger. Would switching to a three under tab help eliminate this and help with a smoother consistent release? The majority of my hunting will be tree stand whitetails in WI.

I shoot both at different times with no problems. I'm shooting a glove now. Might just be your glove. Buy a decent priced good tab to try, and decide for yourself. Blackwidow 3 under comes in leather or calfhair. Tabs generally give a cleaner release. This is a personal preference thing.

I shoot a shooting mitt. A combination of a glove and a tab the best of both worlds. Been shooting one for at least 15 yrs.I make them myself.

Tab. I never had a glove that was as slick as a tab, but then I quit looking a long time ago.

I don't think it's the glove, but by all means go ahead and try a tab. It can't hurt. You may want to try a little powder on the glove first. Jim :)

You may actually want to work on your release dynamics and involve those upper back muscles. I can shoot either but prefer a tab. The hangup may be in your form, not the glove.

I'm a new shooter and still experimenting,I'm shooting a glove now but I just ordered a tab off the NET I'll try to keep an open mind until I shoot a reasonable number of arrows. Maru Kid

I like my glove and never have had a good feel from a tab, just a personal preference, but I shot a glove for a few years on a wheel bow before making the switch to traditional. It was smooth off the tips for me.

I have shot both, but like tabs better, I shoot 3 under and the glove if not a snug fit would stick/hang on the string and I would not get a smooth release.... :)

I shot a glove for about 30 years. Went to a tab for the last 20 or so. Have tried probably every glove and lots of tabs. Felt I got a better release with a tab and really like the one made by Rick Barbee. I recently started using a glove again and noticed that I can hold for a second or two longer at full draw - the time I need to make a better shot. With a tab, as soon as my finger hits the corner of my mouth the shot is off and it's very hard for me to control that. Seems there's something about the way my hand feels against my face with a glove on that makes me feel comfortable holding and focusing. I know that 90% of shooting a bow is half mental but if it works for me to hold just a bit longer at full draw I'm going to ride it for a while.

I started out using a split finger tab. Eventually made my own 3 under tab and used that for years. Then I tried the Alaskan Superglove, used that a few years. When American Leathers came out with the Big Shot, used one til the Full Shot came out. I get the cleanest release, and I'm the most accurate, shot after shot, with the Full Shot by American Leathers.
