Yes, so it works here, this is my archery truck. It's a 1995 GMC Yukon and I've put 240K miles on it going to archery shoots. My front seats are worn out. I bought some $177 seat covers and they lasted about a year. I need some tough and durable seat covers. Does anyone have a recommendation? I figured someone on here could help me out.

Replace it with a wooden bench so your competitors stand a chance. LOL

Marathon seat covers....not cheap but worth every penny. Get them ordered before hunting season starts, right now there is a 4 to 6 week wait. Marathonseatcovers.com

Check out SEAT SAVERS from Covercraft. Mine are a heavy cordura material. I tend wells and am in & out of the truck constantly throughout the day. Showing some wear now, but has been 2 years of constant use. Were $180 if I remember right

I was going to say Duct Tape too, then any seat cover you want. It'll last for a couple more years. God Bless

If going the duct tape route, I'd suggest Gorilla tape. That stuff if incredibly tough

You might look into a cheap upholstery shop too. I found one in my town that repadded and upholtered my seats for about 130. They never looked or felt as good, though the guy I dealt with spoke very little english.

Go to a salvage yard and get some affordable seats.

cabela's sells a bunch of seat cover types, with a wide range of pricing. what I find helpful are the customer reviews.

Hey Jimmy, go out back and dig up some jars and buy a newer truck:)

I have seat covers by Cabela's in my truck for 7 years now. Fishing season, I fish almost every day, I'm driving the beach in wet waders with a gear belt on. Made of a tough Codura, shaped to your seat style, with straps to hold them in place. There's also lacing on the sides to snug them up. They have openings with Velcro closures for access to seat mounted adjustments. After 7 years of tough use they are just showing signs of wear in the area my pliers rub across when entering and exiting the truck. Oh, they're washable too. Frank

+2 on the "find a local upholstery shop". You get a custom fit in the material that you want, and help a local business prosper.

Agree with the "go to the junkyard and get some cheap seats there." Heck for $177.00 you spent on seat covers, you can probably find seats.

Re-upholster x3, you can also pick your cover material, and all the GM switches (except ignition) will fit and work just as well as they did before.

BTW, Jim, those GM seat frames crack and split, I replaced a bunch of them at GMC when I was a dealership mechanic. Have the upholsterer check the seat-bottom frame out carefully when he or she does the job, any bodyshop can stitch-weld them back up for cheap, maybe just some fast-food to the welder for lunch would do it. I've re-welded my '94 Silverado once already. Good luck with it' TinHorn Hank

If you do have to replace the seats and they are bucket seats 1996 seats will fit. My daughter has had a 1995 pick-up with 1996 seats in it for last 12 years. They are the most comfortable seats. Better than my 98 Suburban.

Hatchi Bottoms from Mack's

thanks again guys

Zman - now why would I do that? I have a lot of memories in that truck. Pappy can attest to a serious blood fest in that truck. I forgot to put my trailer rack on it and shot two deer one night. I field dressed them and threw them in the back, behind the seat. I pulled up to Pappy's and opened the door - both deer fell out and my truck stunk for months.

Yes for the price of high end seat covers you can get them re-done at a shop. I had my jeep seats re-done and they were better than new as I had him use a marine grade vinyl and they are great and water dont hurt them...just sayin

heck 240k? in upstate New York they rust out at 110k junk yards here you can find good seats JeffW

Yep, here in the northeast the salt will eat them up if you don't keep them undersprayed once in awhile.

I third the junkyard option. Find out what years are the same as your 1995, say 93-99. (the junkyard probably can tell you) Find the best seats of the bunch in that time frame. Probably 1/2 the price of some of the seat covers quoted.

I have had neoprene seat covers from Cabelas in my rig for about 5 years. Same material that is in my chest waders. My dog rides with me where ever I go and they don't show much wear yet. Pretty much water proof so she gets in wet after a duck hunt and the water pools up on them. Just towel off when I get home. Love them.

Jimmy, that truck has probably carried more deer than anyt other vehicle in existence. Youre a killing machine with the Final Step! I killed 4 last year and you still beat me!

Geez Jimmy...you're sure hard on stuff! My 85 Jeep is on it's first set of seat covers....they've been on there 10 yrs...and I only put those on to cover some cracks in the leather seats!,,, which other than that are still fine! Course I only have 185,000 mi. on it at this point!

3 weeks ago I orderd a set of "Wet Okole" neoprene/wet suit material seat covers for the front buckets of my 2005 F150..the leather is wore thru on the drivers seat and just the bottom part is $195 to replace. Several of my friends have the Wet Okole covers, they are a tight fit and look nice.

Fingerhut, have had seat covers in my truck for 20 years. They still look like new. Fingerhut may be out of business.

That truck hauled 9 deer out last year, 6 the year before, 5 the year prior to that and 6 the year before that. I lost count before that, but 26 deer in 4 years isn't too bad. I bet it's carried 100 squirrels.

I am going to duct tape the seats and I ordered a set of seat covers to go over that. I think it's still got 100K more miles in it, but I saw it under the barn at Twin Oaks in one of Pappy's pictures so I'm not sure if it's running good or not. Pappy said he had to put a new battery in it a few weeks back.

I bought seat covers from Duluth Trading Post. They are made of canvas/duck material. They slip on real easy and are fluid repellent.
