Like most of you I'm not looking for a free lunch in life. That said, last hunting season my boy's popup blind collapsed from two broken rods due to too much snow on the roof. Last week I remembered that I needed to buy a couple new ones with turkey season coming up because junior likes hunting out of it when the weather's bad. I called Primos and told them what we needed purchase for the repair and with my credit card in hand waited for the service rep to tally a price.
Much to my surprise(I never actually read warranties) he stated that since the rods were under lifetime warranty, my total was only for shipping. Of course I explained that I felt it was my fault they broke and offered to pay full price, he wasn't having any it. They arrived today with a spare rod to boot "in case another ever breaks.".......Again, thank you Double Bull/Primos.

Not really. I went out to my dark horse Saturday morning and when I found it, it had 5 busted poles. The wind had tipped it over.
Primos is good about standing behind their warranty though so you are correct on that.

Yes life time warranty. When my father past away I ended up with his Double Bull blind. It had some issues, so I called and they sent replacement parts free of charge. I even told the girl that it was my fathers, that I didn't buy it. It didn't matter. They sent all the parts for free. So, if you see one used for sale and it needs fixed, buy it if it's cheap enough and order the parts to fix it.

Love their customer service. Even excellent on their trail cams. I've replaced several rods and had trouble with their trail camera when they first came out. They were replaced at no charge unlike other mfgrs.

Double Bull is actually repairing and upgrading one of my blinds free of charge as I type this. My DB blinds came with the following lifetime warranty; and I quote, "You loaned your Double Bull blind to your hunting buddy and he broke it. We repair it free of charge for life, no questions asked."

Primos has one of the best customer services I've ever dealt with. When my dad died he had an old T5 prostaff that was so ripped and torn I thought it was trash. I called Primos and they said mark all rips and tears and send it in. 2 weeks later I had a totally refurbished blind that was actually made several years BEFORE Primos bought out DoubleBull. Only cost me shipping. I will never own another blind.

I had a dark horse recurve model that the rods broke every time the wind blew. I finally threw it in the dump and bought a Hidden Hunter blind. Buy a hidden hunter and you don't have to worry about breakage and it sets up 10 times as fast. Best blind on the market. Ghost

I own a DB recurve model with the carbon poles. It's at least fifteen years old and I've never had a problem.

Funny how things work out sometimes.. I read this thread yesterday and this morning when I put up my new DB two rods had came out of the hub, not sure why, doesn't matter now.
Customer service was fantastic, she even knew what model and that it was a door hub. Spent lots of time explaining what should be a simple repair. Seems there has been an issue with my model on the door hub. Sending a new hub, apologized for my inconvenience during my hunting season..
Sure went a long ways making me feel a lot better than what I was feeling about daylight this morning…

Just an update.. Not as happy with Primos as in previous post.
Hub never came, season is over… I think 2 weeks is ample time, even with slow mail.

Woodsman its a common problem-the rod pulls loose from the glue in the "ball" under the hub.Take the hub off retrieve the ball and epoxy the rod back in-if its broken its simple to remove the broken fragment from the ball square off the broken rod (they usually break near the ball) and epoxy.Do it outside with the blind "open".I think you'll find it pretty easy and a 5 minute fix.Next year take it out well ahead of season and check it.

The ball didn't come off the rod. The ball and rod pulled thru the hub.
According to primos the holes in the hub were made too big.. They were aware of the problem and were sending a new hub.
I'm sure it will show up in the next day or two…LOL
I still managed to kill one turkey.. almost got the second one… So it was still a pretty successful season.

thing about the blinds...you MUST stake them out, tie them out and cut a stick or pole that you can place in the center to prop the TOP CENTER hub up. High wind or snow or rain can cause the top to collapse with enough wind and then it has issues. I have had mine out for 6-8 months each for past three years and only had 2 broke poles once I started staking it and supporting it when not occupied. Zip it all up...close windows...insert support pole and never found it collapsed or broken after that.
keep em sharp,
ron herman
