Im looking to purchase either a Martin Stick or a Bear Montana Longbow. I have seen several videos on youtube on the Montana and all are good, but have read reviews that say otherwise. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Happy Easter to all.

the bear montana is a solid longbow. great shooter, great price. Ik have never seen bad review on the montana. the martin stick is also a good shooter. I would personaly go with the bear.

Sarrels Archery makes an excellent affordable longbow. I like my Blackwidow too.

The Montana is the better bow, but the Stick is also a good one. They are both longbows but the Stick is straight limbed and the Montana reflex/deflex and has better performance.

I have shot them booth. I preferred the Montana over the Stick, because the Montana drew smoother, shot faster and was a more stable and accurate shooting bow over the Stick. I am not saying that the Stick was a bad bow, I just preferred the way the Montana shoots overall.

Owned a Montana, nice bow. I would also suggest you take a look on the classifieds, for what your spending you could upgrade. Good luck with your search.

they are both great shooters .i'd choose by the better riser wood, if the beaer is plywood, go with the stick.

The Montana for sure but for a new Montana you could buy a used custom longbow good luck

If your wanting production bow, thst range id suggest looking at the Sky Trophy also. I have one built by Earl Hoyt and its very nice. but out of those two id go montana. I loved mine

I guess one major difference is that Bear still makes the Montana and it seems that Martin has not made The Stick for some time
