Some of you may have seen my last post showing my new quiver that I had made for this year. Well maybe it's like a woman buying a new dress and finding out she needs a new pair of shoes to match.

I decided to get off my butt and make a new bow as well as my new quiver. It came out a little lighter in pull weight than what I normally shoot but at my age today I might get to liking this 52# bow. I call this bow "Cur Dog" because it is a mix of the old English and the modern deflex/reflex longbow. The bow is 66" in length. I will probably shoot it at Moses Lake, WA, Rock shoot coming up soon. This is why I hate to replace washers in a bathroom sink. It usually ends up costing me a new water heater and possibly a furnace by the time the dust settles.

Pictures! We need pictures!

Well yeah, gotta have a new bow to match the new quiver, lol. Best of luck with your new friend.

Now the conversation posted but the photo did not. Some kind of server that says there is not enough room. Anyone have a solution? Gary

LOL Stumpkiller, that was good.

Lesson learnt: I won't make a new quiver. LOL

Many of you requested a picture of the new bow I just made to match my new quiver. I've always considered myself, at the core, more of a progressive archer in the traditional field rather than a classic traditional archer. As some of you may know, I have quite often used aluminum arrows. This new bow is, I feel, an apex in performance and may not appear totally traditional to some archers. It has clear glass on the back and belly, bamboo on the back and red elm limb core. It is 66" in length and came out a little lighter than I would have preferred 52# @ 28" draw. I will probably not hunt with this bow this fall for elk but I plan on shooting it all summer. I thought an appropriate name to call this bow "Cur Dog". With all the racial talk these days, I am nothing but a Cur myself. Moosejaw Gary Sentman

I wonder if your photo is just too big and too high resolution? If you have any photo software and can resize it as a 6" x 4" photo at 200 dpi it might load okay.

Gary , That is one fine looking bow. God bless, Steve

Gary it sounds like the file is too large. Try opening the pic in paint and resize it to something under 1 meg.

That's what I call a cool longbow!

From: GLF

I like that. I'm bettin it spits an arrow.

From: Moosejaw

Yes this bow does cast a good arrow. I thank GLF for finally getting a picture of my bow posted. I named the bow "Cur Dog" because with all the talk of race these days I just consider myself a Cur anyway.

For those of you who may be at the Rock Shoot in Moses Lake, WA, in a couple weeks you may want to shoot a few arrows from it.
