On my way to Dicks for an inner tube & thought lets check out the local bike shop, told the guy this is an unusual request & I'll buy a tube, but if ya have any old ones I'd buy them also, no problem he says, goes in the back & comes out with 5 tubes ,,, Im set for life ,, I think !!!!

Cut 'em in pieces and they also make great clamps and ranger bands as well.

Might have to try & make some "thick" cat whiskers as well ....

The bike shop in Bedford will give old ones to you if you catch them before they go to the garbage man weekly. I have a section of one cut into strips for a wrap around the handle of my Carroll's. I have to see if I can roll on up and onto it.

Work great. Some things I have found about inner tubes. They stink, any kind of anti-bug spray or oils will cause them to rot and crumble quickly and they are not UV resistant causing them to fall apart quickly. Some good things. A cord underwrap in a spiral or other pattern first creats a nice apperance and grip texture as well as a little insulation. Small items can be stored under them on the non palm side like a spare truck key, license, emergency meds in plastic bag, matches, and so on. Inner tubes are always a part of my kit. Having used them sinc the 19??'s one developes a way of using what is on hand and inner tubes have solved many problem in the past.

I have one on my pma and to make it even better i put two wraps of vet tape over it. No black on hands and incredible feel. I love it.

Longsmoke, Have had a terrable time trying to post pics here. Not all small items can be stored at one time. Just single items. Google Ranger Bands ant you will get the basic concept. Wrapping with strips is also dooable. Sometimes larger motorcycle tubes work better. Leave them twice as long them fold back down for storage or extra cushion. Have put 1/4" strips mid limb and added foilage for light camo. Have fun.
