The very first and the last Bear (old white tail) riser I have done or will ever do. The original limb bolts are installed on a tilt at an angle and had to be milled out and straightened (the threads in the riser) and helicoiled to 3/8's instead of 5/16's. I had to turn aluminum rod down to match the rear compound indexes so the dovetails were in solid aluminum and then pin them in and install a plate/then mill in the dovetails. No more of these but at least I did one.

The risers that have no limb bolts are much easier and I plan on doing them when someone wants one? I have one with no factory limb bolts coming up and will post a picture when it is done.

would it be possible to just make limbs with the same attachment system and not ILF? Seems like there should be millions of WT2's around.What does the limb butt look like?

It seems that every other time I explain to someone what a warf bow is, I get asked," So,I can do a White Tail?" Sam, I know that some bows are like a whoopin', but I've always said that you could warf a cinder block. Give 'em hugs or give 'em hell, bubba. James

Tried again and same message,,"Not enough disk space"?

I have Warfed a few in maple, just finished a ladies' Sage riser, with olive Dymondwood and maple and ash. Light 25# bow with a low wrist riser.

So why would anybody Warf a heavy and ugly alloy riser? When you're done, its still heavy and ugly, so why waste the time? Why not get some epoxy and lam up a nice wood riser that looks nice and shoots great? It's probably the same amount of work, IMO. The Sage took about 2 days, a rattle can of Deft, and sandpaper, total cost $15 or so, counting a new BearHair rest......

And all I needed was a bandsaw, belt sander, and orbital sander, plus that nice little 4-in-1 file.

Yours will be next PaPa,,,,,,Many have said these cannot be warfed and just to prove them wrong I converted this one. Nooooo,,due to the limb bolt tilt and having to do so much work and convert to 3/8's limb bolts,,do not intend to do anymore of this particular riser. I am however converting the one;s that did not have any limb bolts at all. I can do them all day long and will have one done a couple of days.

Can't wait!
