It's been quite awhile since I bought a vintage bow. That's why I'm so stoked about it's arrival. I had my sights on a new Bear '59 Classic Kodiak, then this curvy Herters bow with it's Rosewood/ Canadian Rock Maple riser, Spicy mustard Farbenglas, and in the length and draw weight I wanted showed up. I was hooked.

Awesome, I did find out the German Farbenglass was made in California. 8^).

It's in the truck for delivery, all is well. Now, where's the truck? You'd think I was a 10 year old kid on Christmas Eve night.

Buzz, that's too funny! It could have been a really bad day for that driver if those dogs jumped over the fence and chased the van and the driver! LOL!!

Glad you liked it, hope your bow shows up soon.

Thanks Buzz. It's almost 10 am, it's not here, worse yet, I have to leave in 45 min. for an hour.

You better never get a bow build then maybe?LOL

Please let this come in one piece also no issues.

I already had one false alarm, I heard a truck pull up, looked out, it was a UPS TRUCK across the street. C'mon, Tom McCool, that's cruel.lol! I have had a couple bows built for me , but that was quite a few years ago. But back then I was at work, and didn't have time to think about when the FedEx/ UPS/USPS truck would show. It was a real treat to come home from work and see that long box leaned up against my front door. Now that I'm retired, it's all about doing the "honeydo" before my Wife get's home from work. I'm pretty sure I'll have to make a new string for my retirement prize. Right now I'm suppose to be gutting the bathroom downstairs. Ain't gonna happen today!

BTW, It's packed in a 1/4" thick cardboard tube.

Mike..I think your Herters recurve will arrive in fine shape..and you will enjoy many hundreds of well shot arrows it launches!.. Most of the Herters bows I have handled and shot were top shelf bows..Some I liked better than others...

I still enjoy the Bob Barrie designed Intrnational Match hunters..the CV17 recurves.... This one is a CV17( THE ANGLE FOR THE RECURVE GRIP)...It's a heavier one..68#@30"...and flat out casts an arrow very nicely out to 65 yard point on..Jim

Jim, I have to agree with you on that 17°grip. That was my first Herters bow. My current bow is a Perfection 52", marked 55#, is actually 62# with the laminated riser. The one I'm waiting for is the same bow, just longer@56". I have yet to shoot any Herters I didn't like, but like you, some more than others.
