I don't want to offend. Sometimes I would like to know how old a person is before I make a response. Do you guys think it is OK to ask? I am 61 and don't care who know, by the by.

From: dachba
Date: 22-Mar-14

No problem telling my age, and I agree that knowing the age of a poster can sometimes influence the reaction we have to a post, or the slack we give someone.

I'm 66, soon to be 67. Dave on the South Coast of beautiful Oregon.

As an aside - if this forum migrated to a modern platform, then we could have features like "polling" which would allow us to see the age spread in a useful way, as opposed to 300 responses. It would also give us better photo and video sharing abilities, threads could be organized into topical categories...how cool would that be? : )
