Well been back at it again in the arrow shop and wanted to get this thread going again.

I love to see what other people come up with and share some ideas

Here are two set I just finished up

2016 Autumn Oranges. All Testors paint and clear coat.

Some awesome arrows already, I love this thread and this year I will be able to contribute! I just got my fletching jig and some feathers on Wednesday, I just need to order some shafts and get them put together :D

Of course my first set will just be some Camo Hunter's w/ shield cut feathers and matching nocks, nothing special...

Actually I just came up with a new goal for myself, to make some beautiful "custom" wood arrows that are (at least) half as nice as the arrows you guys make. The goal will be to post a picture of them in this thread before the end of the year...

Oh, and the orange, black and white ones are KTM colors ! {8>)

Nothing like the art you guys make but, I like simple better. Awaiting the Orange feathers and nocks to arrive. Ought to make some real nice fall colors for hunting this year. I'll post fletched pics after I get them done. Hildebrand Spruce is the shaft, Minwax poly thinned 2 to 1 is the finish. God Bless

I am jealous. I did not lose enough arrows this year to justify making another dozen for this year. Guess I will have to try harder this year.

Tubby, losing arrows has not, or ever will be a prerequisite to building or buying new arrows. :-)

Those are some real beauties - I go the simple route. Lost nation shafts, stained with Minwax sedona red, crested with a silver sharpie.

Some heavy hitters to start the new year. These are lodgepole pine 70-75 spine with 190 grains up front for a total weight ranging from 681 to 687 grains. Some beautiful arrow everyone! Dave

Great looking arrows guys!! Mine aren't nearly as Classy as yours, but I thought Id throw some good ole meat and potato shafts into this stew. Ash, stained W/ Minwax and 2 coats of poly, they wont win awards but Hey!! the ugly ones need love to. HEHEHE

Just finished these today. I too tend toward simple. Purple Heart footed Port Orford Cedar.

Had a guy new to trad archery that wanted to trade a grocery sack full of natural turkey feathers for a 1/2 doz. plane jane shooter arrows. Made these up for him, seems like a good trade to me.

I just realized I never posted a pic of my first ½ dozen arrows...

They are Easton Legacy 2016's with 4" Tre-Camo feathers, and I did everything but cut them to length (still no arrow saw). They definitely aren't perfect, mainly because my jig wasn't set up properly until the last arrow, but they fly great :)

I posted a pic of these on a different thread. Don't know that they compare with some of the other arrows on here though. My first attempt at marbling. POC shafts with oil based crown dip followed by testors oil based model paint for the marbling.

These are all beautiful arrows. My favorites have got to be the ones pointysticks made for his girlfriend. I really like the black and white with the blue splice. If she likes archery and appreciates those arrows you better snag her for good man.

Here's my first ever attempt at splicing fletchings. It's certainly not up to par with others here, but it's a start.

Cedar shafts, 23/64th at the business end, tapered to 5/16ths at the nock end. Bearpaw 5" shield cut feathers.

Surewood Doug Fir shafts 55 lbs spine, Gateway feathers - wife calls them Fifty Shades of Gray

Made these for the wife, 45-50lbs spine cedar, the fly true out of her 35 lbs Dreamcatcher.

Here's what will be in my quiver in the SW Colorado elk woods in Sept. 31" POC w/Zwickey Delta two blades weighing in at 645 grains.

I'd love to say I made them but the credit goes to Paul at Elite Archery, hopefully some day I can craft art like these! So much talent on this thread it's unreal, I'm jealous 8}

I have been hunting with these this year, three sets are 1948 by Bear and Howard Hill Archery, two sets from 1956 with the original broadheads on each set! Haven't had the opportunity to launch any yet! Very, very close while spot and stalk on both bear and whitetail! Never give up! We still have seven weeks oh the season left! Jacques

These aren't the best but apart from sawing out the blanks,they are done by hand. Usef a block plane hack saw and sand paper. Two wing splice footed Douglas fir and Australian silky oak.Mine are the blue amd the wifes are pink
