I used to say that 3-pc longbows were UGLY!! Boy did I get yelled at on this site. But I have to take it back his bows are the best looking 3-pc longbows I've ever seen. Wish I had some extra $$ laying around I would buy one. You never see a used one for sale so the owners must be keeping them.

My wife and I both love our Stalkers. His new static tip limbs are the "ticket". Here are a few pics.

I just got a wolverine fxt with the bamboo core static limbs.South makes a great bow that is only 100 or 200 dollars more than alot of production bows. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. MONEY WELL SPENT.

I was wonderin about the smoothness of the bow. And performance. I shhot widows and was wondering about theae bows it is voing to be a gift for my brother. I like my widow but my widows are investmentsnot gifts.

Are there any performance reports of the working recurve vs the static tip?

From: tpanic41
Date: 25-Feb-14

Great shooting bows. I wouldn't say they are as smooth as a Widow, but every bit as quick. One of the better bows on the market for the $$.. IMO.

I have one of his Wolwerine with the static limbs, performances and craftmanship are some of the best at a very fair price.

I've got a Stalker recurve and longbow. I really like both of them. I love the Coyote longbow! That dude is smooth, fast, & quiet. You won't be disappointed with a Stalker. Charlie

AndyK

That's a pretty bow. More & more I'm drawn to a one piece bow. I just find I don't take them down all that much???

I got one of their catalogs in with my last TBM this month. Beautiful bows!!!!

Was admiring that same catalog last night. Hard to pick just one!

Received my (Stalker) Schleyer Supreme recurve of Friday....shot it Saturday and can immediately attest to its perfect fit for me, as ordered. It's quiet, accurate, smooth and a beauty to behold. Comfort in the hand is critically important to me.

Awesome shooting bows. South is a master craftsman. I sent mine back to South for a set of his static limbs and to get the riser checkered. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

I got a Stalker catalog along with my TBM about two issues ago. They are some pretty bows.

From: Beendare
Date: 13-Apr-14

Fast? quiet? Looking for a comparison here......

i'm interested in a static tip recurve....

Those that have both, is the Static as quiet as his other bows?

Speed wise, which is faster? Is it significant?

Any difference in hand shock or draw curve between the two?

From: overbo
Date: 13-Apr-14

Had South's original recurve design. Very smooth but very flimsy limb tips. Had file marks in a couple places and burn spots in the wood from sanding. Limb tip overlays had pour glue lines and finish was not very good. Limb fit to riser very good and grip very good. South was very easy to work w/. I tell it like it is. Sorry if I offend any of the Stalker fans.

I had one the prettiest bow and sold it I should not have and kept it just had to many at the time and this one sat. It shot well but so did a number of others I kept.

great bows you can't go wrong with one.Plus they resell easy enough thats another important thing.

LOL Poppy!

For those that want to see what goes on behind the scenes at the Stalker Shop, here's a video of South, crafting one of his recurves.
