Hey Sam, welcome to the LW, you will enjoy this group of bow people!

Welcome Sam. Hope you enjoy. I live in the state of confusion. ;~)

Hi Sam! I was just on your site studying your bamboo backed Ipe buildalong! then i come check the Leatherwall and here you are! awesome. Im going to be starting my own bamboo backed Ipe bow as soon as the rest of my materials get here. Got a bamboo backing and riser block on the way from Whitefeather (another member here, and a GREAT guy to deal with) And Im going to be stopping by lowes over the next few days on the way home to pick ups some foam board and whatnot. Im going to be relying heavily on your build along, as its pretty much exactly what im looking to build. hope you will be around here to answer some questions if i have them! the leatherwall is a great place with unbelieveably great people.

hey! :-)

From: squirrelslayer
Date: 25-Feb-13

i would say welcome but i think this guy is a fraud, he is not the person he is claiming to be. sam harper already has an account here and has been here for a while. unless there is another website called "poor folk bows" owned by a guy called sam harper that lives in texas. this guy is a copy cat. to prove it ill try and get the real sam harper too clear this up. so unless he has made a second account, im not to sure we should trust this guy. if this is just a coinsidence then im sorry and welcome but if not then be warned you can't fool everyone. SS

From: Echatham
Date: 25-Feb-13

hmmmmm.... but why would anyone do that?

From: Echatham
Date: 25-Feb-13

hey you might be right there squirrly... Sam Harper's handle is ephphatha. So.... "poorfolk bows".... what gives?

From: buckbow
Date: 25-Feb-13

I was wondering too. Maybe he changed it? But then why reintroduce? Why not just start a "I changed my handle" thread?

From: longbowdave Professional Bowhunters Society - Associate Member
Date: 25-Feb-13

I say its time for a full cavity search. If this guy still wants to be Sam Harper after that?, Well its ok with me.....

This world is filled with people looking to rip off others. You always have to be on your guard. Thanks Squirrelslayer for the heads up. If we don't watch each others backs who will? Frank

From: littlelefty

Anything south of the Red River, west of the Sabine River, and north of the Rio Grande can't be all bad.

However, at least say where you're from like you mean it. If you are who you say you are, then you are from the REPUPLIC OF TEXAS, not the state of texas.

Yes, I was raised there.

From: Fritz

Hey Sam,

I've been enjoying your well designed webspace for quite some time!

Welcome on board!

From: squirrelslayer
Date: 25-Feb-13

yes as i say we watch this guy closely. i sent Sam a PM to see if he did make another account or not just to be sure. SS

From: ephphatha
Date: 27-Feb-13

Two people sent me PM's saying that somebody was impersonating me (thank you for the heads up). I have to admit this is kind of funny. But no, it isn't me. I didn't start a different account. I still go by ephphatha on here, my name is still Sam Harper, and I still own the poor folk bows webpage. I don't know why somebody would pretend to be me. Weird.

From: Ricky S.

From: Echatham

I think the answer to who it is doing the "shady" is in the dialogue, the spelling, and the lack of correct grammar and capitalization. God Bless

What is going on here? Paranoia perhaps?

Don't worry be happy.

From: Backcountry
Date: 01-Mar-13

Just having a little fun at "Sam Harper's" expense.

BTW, I just bought a bow from a Leatherwaller up in Wisconsin. Never even ocurred to me that the deal might be bogus, which it wasn't. The bow and my check passed each other in the mail. Made a new friend, too.

What is going on here? Paranoia perhaps?

The person who started this thread and goes by "Poorfolk Bows" is claiming to be me. It's not paranoia. I know for a fact that he's not me (unless I'm schizophrenic).

Yep, the Secret Squirrel was/is a cartoon character from the good old days where we could actually enjoy some violence in a cartoon.
