I have been waiting for a delivery of 3 bows and all were shipped in one box for the price of $15.16 cents. That company wasn’t my choice but it is what it is. Anyway I’m out in my shop making a bowstring for one of those bows so when it got here I could string two of them that were identical length. Well I heard something outside so I come through the garage that’s attached to my shop and head into the house looking to see if it had arrived and placed on the porch and sure enough as I opened the door my heart got all excited as I went and grabbed the big box and took it to my shop. Well I noticed a crushed corner but took a picture before opening it in case one the bows was damaged. So I grabbed my knife and carefully cut the good tape job off one end and as I was opening it here comes my wife and our youngest daughter laughing at their phone . My wife said”You got to see this video the doorbell captured “! So as I watched it the delivery guy looked like he just didn’t like his job and took the box and stood it up on its end and turned around to step off my porch and as he walked off the box almost hit him in the back as it fell and hit the edge of steps and hit the sidewalk on an angle across the steps. So he mumbles something and picks up the box and tosses it across my porch cement floor towards my door then takes a picture of it and walks off. I was furious and good thing I didn’t catch him cause that would have been another story where I ended up in handcuffs and needed to be bailed out of jail . This dude just did not care what was inside that box or did he even care about his job . Anyway thank God the place I got the bow from took so much extra care as I asked to package these bows very well . That is another story and I have to say this was the very best package job I’ve ever seen and I’ll share some pictures so you all can see . It’s funny but it did it’s intended job which was better than the delivery guy did. Enjoy . Keefers

Not sure what bow this is but actually just dirty and looks pretty new . It’s made very well but no makers mark just the weight and length . Any ideas please share if you know . All the. Bows were in cases and one case has “King” 62 stamped on it so I’m thinking it was a King Clan 62” which I do have one as well. The cases look to be as old as these two Gordon Royal Monarchs which are 1961 models from which Jim Baker here explained to me a week or so ago . All in All the packing inside did what it was intended to do and I will let those folks know how pleased I am with their extra care . The bows are in really good condition for their age and just years of grime that makes them look dull but as I began cleaning that rosewood is shining up like a new bow and I’ll put feather rests ,strike plates made just for these beauty’s and matching strings . Can’t wait to take them out to my backyard and start flinging arrows .

Dad she asks “ can I have this bubble wrap and Pop it “ and I say help yourself sweetheart it’s all yours .This is our youngest of 3 adopted girls we named Darci . She is now 12 and growing so fast .Just seems like yesterday we brought her to her Forever Home . She had more fun stepping on the bubble wrap and helped me unravel it as it was coiled around from top to bottom . Amazing packing job I must admit .

Steven it was Fed Ex. Company and the guy was from Seaford Delaware or that’s where it made its final run and loaded to be delivered from there . I had a review on my experience with the delivery and I mentioned the “Idiot “ that set it up straight on my porch then turned around and it hit hard on the cement . If I knew how to post a short video clip I would do so it so everyone can see how he seemed like it was no big deal . Then he takes a picture of the box laying down correctly on the porch as he should have done in the first place. What if it wasn’t packaged well and had glass in it ? It would have been destroyed . I actually hope that FedEx calls me or emails me so I can send the video or better yet put it on YouTube or Facebook for the world to see how they handle someone’s products and then fire this guy for his laziness of doing his job correctly. I liked to know what he mumbled when it fell and then tosses it on my porch . For his sake he’s darn lucky I didn’t catch him before he left my property I’d gave him a big lecture on doing his job he’s getting paid for correctly.

Keefers, sorry you have some bad delivery people but at least you had a good packer!

That last bow looks like a Tri-State and I think the lynx is the 60" model. I say that because that writing looks identical to the writing on my jaguar and the riser shape is also very close.

Pics of the tips?

FedX , UPS, USPS, has all damaged packages plus what in side, even if their are FRAGILE signs on , the workers don’t care and no punishments to them, No Respect of their job for the public.

Wow! Those Gordons are gorgeous. I got a 38# 66" Royal Monarch recently. Light green and dark green glass. It's being restored. Keefers, if for some unfathomable reason you don't want to keep one of those bows or want to trade for something else, let me know!

Well after a good. Day in my shop cleaning them up and making another string for the other one ,strike plates and feather rests not to mention some puff silencers I have them all ready to shoot and that was what I intend to do with these old beauty’s . They had some grime but look good as new when I got all done with them.

Had a box show up have that was broken open and the only think that held it together was the Fiberglas bow inside. When I took the bow out the box hinged and fell apart. There was a boot print on the box right at the break. I wonder what happened???

Keefers, what did you use to clean them besides elbow grease? They look great!

From: Keefers
Date: 06-May-24

Turtle wax scratch remover and lots of elbow grease .I used one those round Terry cloth wax pads and lightly dampen it with cold water and being careful around the labels, edges and just rub and buff by hand .

From: Keefers
Date: 06-May-24

Keefers's embedded Photo

Here’s one brand I use but don’t go too crazy with it cause it can rub off some finish’s and the reason I dampen the pad is to delete it’s cutting property’s some . It can remove some glue but but I work one area at a time and if there is a label above the finish don’t rub hard at all and be careful it can remove the color and ruin the label . Same goes with any writing that’s above the finish and not coated .

When one considers what happens when one drops the hammer on a bow, particularly if a limb tip hits something, that delivery guy is the least of it's worries. :)

I suspect that unless this happens to you it goes un-noticed. The USPS delivers 23.8 million packages every day. In all my years of archery items being delivered I have never had a damaged package show up at the house.

Glad your bows landed unharmed. You did a great job cleaning them up. I scrub my bows up by putting them in a tub in the basement and wash them. I make sure they are dried good using a hair dryer before I wax them with auto wax.
