Is BCY Dynaflight string material the same as D97? I have not made strings for years and only used Dacron. I am making some bows and want to try a safe no stretch string. Just wanting to know what to order. Thanks.

One in the same as far as I know, and most cost efficient fast flight string material you can buy.

Make the bows for the use of ff strings, and shoot your choice.

Yea I make em for FF just was wondering what the difference was. Like I said I use to use only Dacron.

At one time there were different dynaflight numbers, ie: dynaflight 10 or d-10, dynafight 97 or d-97. Not sure if that's still the case.

If you need to buy string material anyway, skip over the Dynaflight/D97 and jump up to a blended material like X99 or similar. They are better materials for not much more money.

The blended stuff will be more stable (maintain brace height better), will creep less, and is usually quieter.

I loved the D-10. I think that’s why they quit making it.

For a few dollars more the X99 is unbeatable. It performs better in every category.

The string on my daily shooter was made almost 2 years ago. It has been strung since. I think I adjusted the brace twice in the fist week it was made and have never touched it since. I don't even check it. I haven't fussed with silencers or had to replace them. Just 2 whole whispers and that's it.

I have used the X99 for a long time now with zero problems. I used to keep a ruler handy to check bows every time I shot. No need to now.

I'm still using 450+ 12 strands and it works pretty good.
