And she still wants to shoot with dad when she gets home.

It’s so true.

My favorite granddaughter graduates this year too. I still can’t believe it.

They really do grow up so fast.

Don't blink is absolutely correct. They grow up so fast. I definitely regret that I did not do more with my kids when they were growing up.

Paul I was just thinking the same thing. Seemed like yesterday we were adopting our first of 3 girls who were all orphaned from a few days to a few months old . Here’s our first wearing a hat I put on her head when she was a toddler .

I love the quote by Oscar Wilde ... "youth is wasted on the young"

Amen. My kids are all grown, two have kids, our yard and house bustles, especially on weekends, with activity and noise, the yard is full of toys and there’s still bikes in the driveway. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Time goes by so quickly. My daughter turns 55 today.

Yes indeed, my middle daughter turns 45 today, her baby sister turned 33 at the beginning of the month. The eldest will be 48 this summer.

I have to admit my legs took a bit of a wobble the first time I heard someone refer to my son as Dr.Rees.

Know what you mean, my youngest will be 47 soon. Was talking to his "older" sister who turned 50 in January. She said she doesn't think about it until she realizes her "little brother" is going to be that old!

its seems like yesterday my daughter and i were digging up worms in the back yard and today she's asking to borrow the truck. If only I could back in time for a day...

yep. Beautiful and sharp mentally. Sometimes I think life is backwards. You should be retired until your 35 and then work your 30 years or so. That way you would be young to enjoy your wife and kids and hunting and fishing. Most guys are questioning whether they should be climbing into treestands when they are over 65!

Awesome blinkings going on here. Been there several times, now waiting on the 3rd oldest grandson to make me a great grandpa. Seems like it was just yesterday when my oldest grandson asked if I had shot a deer and I told him that he was standing in the blood trail.

I like the scripture in Psalm 127: v v 3-5 Children are a gift from God and Blessed is the man who has a quiver full. I have that scripture written by Lee Hoots on my Hoots recurve and I’m reminded that God has Blessed my wife and I with our three daughters ? We used to have this magnet that had Adoption the Loving Option written on it on the back of our vehicles . Great to see Men and Women showing their children as babes and now grown Lady’s and Gents. I know the days coming when I will give my daughter away to some fella..My biggest concern is not letting everyone see a grown man cry.

Man this hits home.. I’m 57 and have both kids still in middle school and just yesterday playing on the floor with them..I hat to step back and I realized I have not taught my kids much about life except God and his word and lead both of them to Jesus on the living room couch and watch them baptized.. I just bought a Boat and teaching my son to fish and clean them and cook them. This weekend he and my daughter is going to learn how to change a tire on my truck and my wife has taught the daughter how to cook..Please spend time with your kids they are the future for a world that hates God and forgot about working with there hands and brain.. Needed this Post to get me motivated the time of life is a fast clock..

Sept 25 1994,, day after from returning from bow hunting the Little Missouri Bad Lands, phone rang and picked it up, Catholic Charities wanted to know if we would be interested adopting a new born Downs Syndrome girl. Cut to the chase, she will be 30 yrs old and I'll be 72, it has been challenge and a blessing, have said that man kind had a mind of Downs Syndrome there wouldn't be any wars and very little conflicts.

I had two daughters who each had two daughters. Amazingly the granddaughters were born close to each other, two are 15, and two are 12. They all live close by and even get on and off the school bus in front of my house. The older two are talking about driving to school next year. Oh my.

I am very fortunate but I'm drowning in a sea of estrogen!
