Taking a turkey with a recurve is quite and accomplishment! Congratulations! I know you were elated! I've hunted Eastern's many years with a recurve and have only ever taken a handful.

I consider being able to arrow a gobbler one of bowhunting's hardest challenges.

I’m going to mount mine. My daughter chose to do fan, wings, feet and skull mount the head. She said when she shoots a bigger one she will mount that one. We just got her Osceola back so she wants one to compare to that one.

I haven't done much turkey hunting, but I've done just enough to know that killing one with a stickbow is quite the task.

Congrats on getting it done!

Well done on the birds. I will be out this weekend again trying to tag a bird with the recurve. I hunt a low population area in Northern WI and don't go at them hard anymore, but I get out and get myself into one or two a year. One day.

Keekeerun. I have put 8 turkeys (6 of them were for other people) through the pearly gates this year with hunter specialties power v. I also like woodhaven mouth calls. Just happens that the power v was my go to this year. I wish I was a better caller but I can do just enough to make it happen when one is ready.

Zman I did use a blind. I was lucky I had one in the woods I had put there to take my daughter. I went in to check things out decided to call a few times, he answered and came right in from about 200 yards through the woods.
